About Us

Creating awareness about the less fortunate and empowering people to help them with dignity.
A 501(c)(3) Charity feeding and clothing the Homeless, helping the underprivileged, the
marginalized, the disabled the elderly and providing shelter, clothing, hygiene, medical and food relief worldwide.

The island nation of Sri Lanka is in the midst of one of the worst economic crises it's ever seen. It has just defaulted on its foreign debts for the first time since its independence, and the country's 22 million people are facing crippling power cuts, and an extreme scarcity of food, fuel and other essential items such as medicines.

The Sharing Hands Foundation is committed to helping as much as it can with the funds collected.

Our international work involves finding an on-the-ground ally who can ensure our donations have maximum impact on the lives of those suffering. Recently this involved helping the victims of the bombings in Sri Lankan in Easter 2019.
We work with vulnerable people who are suffering due to a crisis. We are assisting those in need of meals during the current COVID-19 crisis.
We meet on the 1st Saturday of each month to make food and care packages for the Homeless in Los Angeles. We drive to Skid-row and distribute them to the homeless on the streets. Around 100 people are involved in this project. We fill a bag with a meat & cheese sandwich, potato chips, a fruit cup, a granola bar & a bottle of water. We sometimes add socks, blankets, jackets, etc. We distribute over 1,300 bags each month.
